Ephesians 4:11-16 states that the five fold ministry has been set in the body "for the perfecting of saints for the work of the ministry." I Corinthians 12:28 lists in the work of the ministry "helps and governments."
In the New Testament Church, it is the responsibility of the members of the body to do the "work of the ministry" so that according to Acts 6:4, the pastors may "give themselves continually to prayer and to the ministry of the Word." We thank God for the members of this body that God has called into ministry. We look forward to the members being just as committed to their calling of pastoring Fayetteville Community Church and bringing this body into maturity.
